How to Succeed in Life

Ambitious people are always searching for ways to succeed in life yet the interesting thing is that the seven step secret that reveals how to succeed is contained within the word itself. Let me reveal it to you.

The "S" in succeed stands for setting a goal.

The first step in succeeding at anything is to have a target to aim for. If you have a definite, clearly defined goal and you know why you want that particular goal and how it is going to enhance your life then you have already started on your journey to a successful life.

The "U" in succeed stands for unshakable belief.

In order to achieve your goal you have to believe, at the emotional level, that you will get that goal no matter what obstacles stand in your way. If that belief is total and unwavering then it activates your subconscious mind to work with you in making your goal a reality.

The first "C" in succeed stands for commitment.

If you want to be certain of achieving your goal then it is important that you commit to doing whatever it takes to get there. Most people are half hearted when it comes to commitment. Then when they hit an obstacle or setback they have no fuel to push them through. The people who get their goals have a level of commitment that simply will not take no for an answer and therefore they have enough emotional fuel to blast through any obstacle or setback that comes their way.

The second "C" in succeed stands for creating an action plan.

Even if you don't have any idea how you are going to get your goal you should brainstorm an action plan. Be confident in the knowledge that if your belief and commitment are strong enough then your subconscious mind will help you in creating your action plan.

Your action plan won't be set in concrete. It is simply a starting point to get you moving. As you will see below you are able to modify this plan as necessary along the way.

The first "E" in succeed stands for executing your action plan.

Until you take action your success is just a theory. It is action that turns dreams into reality. Your action should be full on, totally committed, goal directed, daily action. Throw out all your excuses and procrastinations and get yourself into gear and moving.

The second "E" in succeed stands for evaluate.

Once you take action you will get some sort of outcome resulting from that action. The next step is to evaluate that outcome to see if it is taking you closer to your goal or not. Remember that the more action you have taken the more reliable your evaluation will be.

The "D" in succeed stand for decision.

Once you have evaluated your outcomes it is time to make a decision whether to continue taking action according to your current action plan or whether you need to modify your action plan. When I say modify your plan I don't mean for you to suspend your action and go back to the drawing board. You still need to be taking goal directed action each and every day. The modifications I am talking about are done on the go while you are moving. It is just like steering a car; you have to be moving in order for the steering to produce any worthwhile result.

Concluding Remarks.

So if you want to succeed in life remember that the seven step formula is contained within the word succeed.

Set a clearly defined goal.

Unshakable belief.

Commit to doing what ever it will take to achieve your goal.

Create an action plan.

Execute your action plan.

Evaluate your outcomes.

Decide whether to continue with or modify your action plan.

Today is a great day to start putting this formula into practice.

Eight Steps To Success In Life – Can You Expect To Be Successful?

Every day you have to face up to an increasing number of challenges, just keeping your head above water is hard. Can you really expect to be successful? The answer is yes you can – and the more you expect success the more likely you are to achieve it!

An extensive study of successful people has shown that one of the important factors in their success was not their opportunities early on in life or the difficulties they faced. It was something much simpler. The difference was whether they expected to be successful or not.

Let me repeat that important point. People who expect to be successful are more likely to be successful.

What you think is what you are

One of the eight steps to success in life is to maintain a positive attitude. This is especially true when it comes to your expectations of success. If you expect to be a successful person, you will spend the majority of your time thinking of yourself as successful. What you think about is what you become.

Consider two people. The first person fully and confidently expects to be successful in life. The second person fully expects to fail. We’ll start them off with the same opportunities and problems to overcome…

If you expect success you will encounter the same challenges as the other person, but you won’t get put off by the problems you encounter. The successful person views problems as learning opportunities or at worst, nothing more than minor delays on the way to inevitable success.

On the other hand, if you expect failure, you’re going to find it very discouraging every time something goes wrong. Problems you encounter are just going to reinforce your expectations of failure. Problems are seen as roadblocks and major pitfalls as you struggle to maintain your status quo. Very soon, you’re going to be falling behind that person with higher expectations of success.

Improve your success quotient

The chances are you expectations of success vary from day to day and with the different goals you are trying to achieve in your life. If you are attempting something that you are confident is going to be easy for you, you will have a high expectation of success and a very good chance of being successful.

On the other hand, if you are tackling a really daunting task, your expectations of success will be much lower…

The important thing is your average expectation of success. If you expect to succeed at most things and just fail occasionally you are likely to have a successful life. If you expect to fail at most things and just occasionally succeed, your life will be correspondingly less successful.

Wherever you are now, if you want more success in life you need to work on improving your expectations of success. Applying the principles of the eight steps to success can help you to raise your expectations of success and make you more successful.

Looking For The Formula For Success? Well, Here It Is!

If you can bake a cake, you can be successful at whatever you are up to in life. All it takes are some very simple tiny steps.

1. Declare a possibility for yourself like: "I am the possibility of being outrageous and loving."

2. Feel that possibility at the core of your being and visualize what you will be doing or what you will have in the next three years. In fact, it's best to create the next three years by standing in the future as if it has already happened.

3. Every three months (each quarter), look at your three year goal and create goals for that quarter. For each quarter, create your goals by standing in the future as if they have already happened.

Wondering why we keep telling you to stand in the future as if it is already fulfilled? The reason we do this is that your subconscious cannot tell the difference between reality and fantasy. Ever wonder why you get scared at the movies? It's the same reason! Similarly, if you lifted weights every single day for three years, would the weight that you are lifting today seem as heavy? This is a key ingredient to your recipe for success.

4. Create an Unleash Lifelog which will serve as your recipe for success as it puts your actions in the right order. Time and again, people make the biggest mistake of all: not writing things down. Writing things down makes it real and makes it much more likely to happen because your goal actually exists in the physical world. There are so many stories of people that discover that their success happened because of something that they wrote down years before but never saw it since then.

Basically, what we really want you to understand is that what you say creates your life. President Kennedy is at the core of the best example of this principle when he asked the top American scientists how fast the United States could put a man on the moon. Not one scientist told him that it would take anything less than 30 years. After hearing that, in a speech at Baylor University, he said, "By the end of this decade, we will have put a man on the moon!"

Even though the most optimistic experts said it would take at least 20 years longer, Kennedy stood in the future and made it happen. In all likelihood, had Kennedy not given that speech at Baylor University, we would not have landed on the moon until the 1990s because the "word" of the scientists said that it was not possible. Their word would have created our world... not Kennedy's!

This structure is key to the recipe for success because it gives you the ability to create infinite possibilities, intentions and goals while at the same time keeping you on track with the basics.

Easy and simple! Now, you have your goals for the next three months set in addition to your three year goals. So what do you have to do to guarantee the results you set out to achieve? Step by step, complete your weekly goals that you detail in your weekly Unleash Lifelog. Remember, you eat an elephant one bite at a time!

Revisiting your short-term and long-term goals on a regular basis will further guarantee your success and propel you even farther ahead.

Revisit your quarterly goals like this:

Reread each of the minimum and targeted intentions that you declared in your Unleash Lifelog and think about each one.

If you were successful in completing it, truly congratulate yourself, feel good about it and check it off your list.

Now, if you haven't yet completed it but you are 1005 positive that you will accomplish it by the end of the quarter, then write "OK" next to it.

Now here's a tricky part. If there is a 90%+ chance that you will not finish it or you are just not committed to completing because it doesn't mean anything to you, then do yourself a favor and either revise it so that you can absolutely complete it by the end of the quarter or delete it entirely (or put a big "X" through it.)

You may think this is cheating or giving up, but here's the deal: you probably weren't going to complete those goals anyway! So, why beat yourself up? Save yourself a lot of energy and reduce your aggravation and pain of trying to accomplish the impossible by recreating your goals.

Think of it this way: there is a huge penalty for setting high goals and not reaching them because people are generally too hard on themselves but, on the other hand, there is no penalty for setting modest goals and overachieving! Ponder this example: say that your original goal was to lose 20 pounds in 60 days but after 30 days you only lost 5 pounds. How would you feel if you didn't recommit to a goal that is more realistic? Probably pretty miserable right? And guess what, since we don't like to do things that make us feel miserable, you'd probably fail anyway! Recommitting is not failing or cheating... it's just smart!
