How We Became Wealthy
I got asked again today.
"Tony, how did you become wealthy?"
There's probably a lot of answers to that question but the answer I gave (and nearly always do) is simply this:
To become wealthy, you have to think like a wealthy person.
Every week, I talk to dozens of people who dream of becoming wealthy. They're tired of working more hours for less money. They're tired of never seeing their family. They're tired of taking their vacation days and using it to only go visit their relatives and letting their kids play with their cousins.
And so they've called me to talk about becoming wealthy. And it's very easy for me to see which ones are going to actually succeed and which ones will continue to struggle.
I simply watch how they think.
For example, if someone is struggling to pay their bills and that is their REASON for why they're starting a business, that person will find a way to be successful. They're motivated. They're focused on a solution. They realize that -- if things are going to change -- it has to start with them. And they're committed to be successful.
On the other hand, if a person says "Oh, I can't get started in business, I'm too broke".....that person is already defeated. Because they are choosing to let their circumstances dictate what they can do. They will continue to use that situation as an excuse for why they can't be more successful. Which means that they are creating their own self-fulfilling prophecy.
I can usually call these people back in 6 months and they're no better off than they were when they first contacted me.
What's the difference?
It's how people THINK. This is what Napoleon Hill meant when he titled his book, "Think and Grow Rich".
Wealthy people think differently than broke people. They don't ask "can I?" They ask "how can I?"
One of my favorite authors, Ayn Rand, once said, "What do you mean who's going to let me? You mean, who's going to stop me!"
Back when Jessica and I chose to start our business, we were broke. We were living in a very small cinder-block house. We had no heat. I was earning less than $1,000 a month. We were two months late on our rent. Our car broke down frequently.
But we believed things could be better. We believed there was a way we could become wealthy and start living the life we deserved.
When it came to finding the money to start our business, we could have easily said, "I don't have the money." But, what would have changed? It's not like either of us had a rich uncle who was suddenly going to remember us on his deathbed. Or that our fairy godmother was going to show up and hand us lots of money just because we wished for it.
No, we did what a lot of people do: we scraped and borrowed and did whatever we had to do. We sold things we owned. Jessica took a part-time job on a short-term basis. I did odd-jobs for a friend of mine.
And when we made the decision that we were not going to let fear or other obstacles stand in our way, things started coming together in a way that we could have never planned or predicted.
So, if the question is, "How do you become wealthy?" the answer is simply, "Start thinking like a wealthy person".
Would a billionaire every say, "No, I can't do that."? No. They say, "I'm going to do that" and they find a way.
There are two kinds of people in the world: stoppable and unstoppable.
Which are you?

visualize Your Goal - A Philadelphia Life Coach Tells You Why and How
The first step in any life change is to visualize what it is that you want for yourself. Before you can plan the necessary action, you need to know where you are heading. To do this you must visualize your goal.
Conceptualize Your Goal in Positive Terms
The desire to change is usually motivated by dissatisfaction with the present situation. Because of this, when it's time to identify your goals, you may think in terms of what you want to get rid of.
The problem with focusing on what you don't want is that it doesn't really help you to identify what it is that you do want. You can see what you are moving away from but you lack clear objective regarding where you want to go.
When you conceptualize your goals in positive terms you give yourself direction:
What is it that you really want?
What would feel right for you?
If you could write your own script and have things turn out exactly as you want them to, what would the outcome be?
Knowing where you want to go tells you where you are heading. Once you have clear direction, the steps you need to take will become apparent.
You Can Visualize Your Goal, Even If You Don't Know How You Will Achieve It.
You may resist visualizing your goal if you have no idea how you are going to get from here to there. It is important, however, to recognize that knowing where you want to go provides necessary direction that will inform the steps you need to take.
Once you know where you are headed, it becomes much easier to identify the steps to get there. You will become alert to possibilities you might not have noticed, were you not focused on your goal.
How To Visualize Your Goals
While thoughts about how you'd like things to be may come and go, it is valuable to set time aside to focus on your goals. This process can provide clarity, which will help you to find direction.
1. Give yourself some time when you know you will be uninterrupted.
Sit down, take a few deep breaths and allow yourself to relax. Or, if inspiration comes more easily when you are taking a walk or a run or swimming laps, use that time to imagine what it is you want for yourself. What's important is that you give yourself space and time to really focus on how you want your future to be.
2. Now, ask yourself "What is it that I really want here?"
Don't try to figure out the answer to this question. Instead, allow some time for the awareness of your goal to emerge. Be open to anything that comes to you.
3. Imagine that you have achieved your goal.
Notice how you feel with your goal accomplished. Be aware of any unexpected consequences that come to mind as you imagine your goal fulfilled.
If potential unforeseen consequences came to mind when you imagined your vision fulfilled, give yourself plenty of opportunity to address any questions raised. Be very patient with the process.
Suspend judgment for now This is a creative process, like brainstorming. Quiet any critical voice that says "You could never do that!" or "That's impossible!" Encourage yourself to dream big. Later on you will have plenty of opportunity to assess the feasibility of your vision and explore ways you can implement it.
You may need to allow a few days or even weeks for the details of your vision to take form. Be open to any additional inspiration that comes to you after you initially visualize your goal.
You can keep track of your vision as it evolves by keeping a journal in which you record the insights you receive. Taking notes will enable you to feel confident that you won't forget any of the details.
Once your goal is clear, you can explore the possibilities for achieving it. Through this process the 'how to's' will become apparent. Your initial vision may be modified in the process, but you will be moving in the right direction toward making your good life better!

How To Use Affirmation Properly
“I am, therefore I exist,” is a phrase affirming one’s existence as a being. It may be a simple phrase, but it says everything about the being saying them. It indicates a confidence not commonly found among other beings.
But why do people need affirmation? Why do beings need to be affirmed? Is existence relative to one’s affirmation?
Affirmation is a very powerful technique to empower one’s subconscious. Once the subconscious is disciplined to believe one’s affirmation, the latter is converted into a positive action for the conscious mind. Through affirmation, beings are empowered to do, to work, and to strive for more things. Affirmation allows people to believe in themselves and to put their thoughts into action.
Affirmation is a combination of verbal and visual techniques of a preferred state of mind of a person. Strong affirmations can be very powerful, and can be used by almost anyone to achieve his goals and fulfill his desires. However, the power of an affirmation depends on how strong or weak an affirmation is.
Affirmation is merely an assertion made by a person, about something or about a state of being. A person can affirm those that he chooses to attain, like “I now have a good life.” Being healthy in mind, body, and spirit can also be made possible through affirmation.
A strong affirmation should be stated in the present tense to be more effective. An affirmation of “I am now a happy being” is more effective than an affirmation saying, “I am going to become a happy being.” Affirmation should always be in positive terms because it is supposed to work for you and not against you. Instead of saying, “I am not sad,” why not make an affirmation saying, “I am happy.”
An affirmation should be made up of simple but concise words, and it should be short to be more effective. A very long affirmation can work the other way around, instead of creating a positive mindset for a person. A short affirmation can be easily spoken and repeated by a person. It can serve as a mantra that can be repeated over and over again.
To be effective, an affirmation must be repeated. Repetition works and influences the subconscious, which in turn motivates the person into acting out his affirmation. A person who creates the affirmation should be deeply involved with the words he will be using, so he will be able to actualize his affirmation. Writing words that one believes in can be very powerful, and this can be put to good use when creating an affirmation.
However, creating an affirmation alone and repeating them a million times would not make the affirmation a state of mind. The important thing is to live one’s affirmation and to be open-minded enough to do the things that would help the affirmation become a reality. Feeling the affirmation and applying it in one’s life will help in making the affirmation a reality.
While affirmation is generally used to make an individual better, it can also be used to boost or confirm another person’s value. By affirming another person‘s existence, you are helping him improve his self-worth.
Affirmation is a very simple thing that can make a very big difference in a person‘s life. It can be a great motivator and can make things happen.
Goal Setting, Personal Planning and Success – How to set very SMART goals!
Goal setting, is a skill that you have to learn if you want success. Goal setting, personal planning and action are key elements in your success. Goal setting is so important that there has been a lot written on this topic.
The biggest challenge is setting goals and then going on to achieve them. If you can set goals according to your personal plan and you can get into the habit of achieving them you will have success. However many people fail to follow through on their goals.
The secret is to use a simple, basic process for setting your goals and make sure that you have some means of achieving them, without making them so easy that they don’t really stretch you.
The four keys to success in Goal setting
There are four main elements to a good goal, encompassed in the acronym S.M.A.R.T. This stands for:
Specific – your goals should be specific, as specific as you can make them. The more specific they are the easier it will be for you to know when you’ve achieved them and to measure your progress towards achieving them. Rather than say “I want to make a lot of money” a good goal would say “I want an income of $5000 per month by October 1st 2006”. Can you see the difference.
You might hesitate to be specific because you might not know what you can achieve – pick a number that seems exciting but not completely insane and go with it.
Measurable Make sure you can measure your goal – if you can’t measure it, how will you know you’ve got it? “I want an income of $5000 per month by October 1st 2006” fits the bill nicely!
You may want to set a goal in some other area of your life where the measurement may be more difficult – e.g. you may want to improve your relationship with your spouse or your boss. Think about how you’re going to know when you’re there – will it mean no more rows, will it mean something else like you eat out together once a week? Think of something that is going to be evidence of achieving your goal.
Realistic This is a tricky one – you have to balance the need for your goal to be achievable with the need for your goal to stretch you. Goals that do not stretch you simply won’t inspire you – would you really get excited about doing your weekly grocery shop 1 day earlier? On the other hand setting a goal to be 10 feet tall is just not going to happen unless you end up in a delusional state!
You will need to use your own judgement here. You will also need to practise the art of goal setting – as you set goals more often in a particular area, you are going to get better at judging what’s achievable but realistic for you. Accept that you may need to learn by trail and error at first.
Time-bound You’ve got to know when you want your goal to be finished. Our money example does this very well. The object of setting goals is to move your forward in your life, this has to happen by a certain time or you will die before you get there. Your goals simply must be time-bound. Choosing the time frame can make the difference between a realistic and an unrealistic goal (doubling your income next week might be a bit difficult, over 5 years it should be easily achievable).
Be SMART when you are setting your goals and take the actions you need to achieve them and you will be well on the road to success.

Spirituality: Is Your Life History Impeding Your Personal Growth?
So what do I mean by such a garish title?
Well I literally mean that all of the life history that you call you life that you have "stored' as memories in your mind body may be an impediment to your personal growth.
I must qualify here also what I mean by "personal growth" as this means different things to different individuals.
I mean it in the highest sense of the word. That is your growth, or more aptly, your evolvement into who you really are, a Divine Being!
Now what is that you may ask?
Well unfortunately I can only convey that as an experience and would be hard pressed to describe something that at this point you "think" is foreign to you. That would be like trying to explain how a strawberry tastes to you if you had never actually tasted one before.
To help you however I refer you to my many articles here in this ezine on Spirituality and I think you will find there what you are looking for, a small "taste" of your Divine Self. More of this can be had by contacting me directly at the web link below if you feel so inclined.
Having said that I wish to return to the issue of the problem of one's life history.
As I'm sure you will agree, not all of your life has been rosy, correct?
That means that you are carrying within you memories of negative, and in my view toxic memories, that have a definite effect on you.
What is this effect?
Well choose one and recall it in detail and as you do notice how it makes you feel.
You will notice some or all of the following; heaviness, sadness, pain, hurt, grief, dread, anxiety, anger, vulnerability, helplessness, hopelessness, guilt, regret, fear, confusion, meaninglessness, emptiness and so on.
What is all of this doing to you? Well when you are conscious of it you'll notice that it is draining your life energy.
That's the same as saying that it is killing you, isn't it?
When you're not conscious of its still killing you, although now more quickly.
Surprized you with that last statement, didn't I? You probably thought that by being less conscious you'd be feeling less of the pain and therefore that would be better for you.
Well if you look at it closely you'll recognize that in order to keep it "unconscious" i.e. not feel the pain, you need to expend energy. That's your vital life energy!
In other words more of your life energy is needed to keep it unconscious than to keep it conscious!
In either case the effect is that is it killing you.
Is this necessary? How far will all of those personal growth (using your definition here) strategies get you if all of this "history" of yours is draining your vital life energy right in front of your eyes and you're just pretending it isn't even there?
What's worse you probably never even "thought" this was a problem did you? That's because you've been "conditioned" to accept that this life history:
1. Identifies who you are as a human being.
2. Is necessary for you to learn from.
3. It is part of what it means to be a human being.
4. It is a normal aspect of the reality we live in.
5. Defines and is defined by the passage of time which we all accept as a universal phenomenon.
Well if you accept all of those the you'll have to live with the consequence of what that life history is doing to you then i.e. killing you.
Is that what you want?
You didn't know that you even had a choice up until now did you?
Well you most definitely do!
Please read may many articles here in this ezine (especially "We Are Not Our Personalities") and feel free to contact me if you would like to free yourself of this unnecessary and unnatural destiny.

Three Ways to Balance Your Life
When your life seems out of control and you've got endless demands tugging at you from all directions, it's easy to feel overwhelmed, fatigued - and just plain stressed!
Believe it or not, balancing your life does not require massive changes. You don't have to quit your job, abandon your family and escape to a remote retreat in order to feel peaceful and happy. In fact, true balance is something that starts WITHIN YOU first and foremost - no matter what else is happening in your outer life circumstances.
Below you'll find three simple ways to begin building a greater sense of inner peace and harmony:
1) Quiet time.
One of the first things we tend to sacrifice when we're busy is our personal time. Instead we devote all of our energy and attention to caring for others, multi-tasking, meeting responsibilities and "being productive." Over time this depletes our energy and we begin to feel more and more burdened by our responsibilities.
To live a more balanced life, quiet time to yourself is CRUCIAL. You may believe that you don't have any time available for yourself, but something amazing happens when you consistently MAKE time; you find yourself feeling happier and more energetic, your focus improves - and you still get plenty done! Just a few minutes spent sitting quietly in meditation or reading a book can do wonders in transforming stress into peace and happiness.
2) Self-care.
Beyond making time for things you enjoy, there are other ways to nurture and love yourself on a daily basis. Getting a full 8 hours of sleep (or as much as you personally need) is a great start, as well as eating nutritious food, exercising daily and speaking kindly to yourself.
Have you ever noticed that when you're really tired or stressed, even the smallest problem can seem like a nightmare? On the other hand, when you're feeling well-rested and centered, you're much better able to handle upsets. Caring for yourself is one sure way to consistently replenish your energy, inner peace and joy - which means you'll have the strength to handle whatever comes your way.
3) Flexibility.
Did you know that one of the biggest causes of stress is rigid expectations? We all do it from time to time; get a mental picture of how our lives "should be" - and get really annoyed when our outer circumstances don't cooperate! One of the biggest gifts you can give yourself is a flexible state of mind. In other words, learn how to detach from unrealistic expectations and go with the flow.
When you have a flexible mind-set, you're able to deal with crises and problems much more easily because you're not working against a preconceived notion of how things "should be". You're able to tap into your creative problem-solving skills and move through challenges without all the drama and frustration. Be like the tree that bends with the breeze - and you're much less likely to break!
These inner changes can make a dramatic difference in your state of well-being, but you may also want to examine your outer life circumstances and see if there are other small changes you can make to help support your inner work.
For example, you might choose to let go of certain obligations that are no longer meaningful or enjoyable to you. Just because you agreed to host weekly meetings for a support group three years ago doesn't mean you have to keep doing it forever - especially if it's become a drain on your time and energy!
Be willing to let go of activities that no longer complement the lifestyle you desire, and you'll create a space for greater fulfillment, joy and peace.
The Personal Development Way To Eliminating Procrastination
Are you a procrastinator? Do you hold yourself back from achieving the things you want to achieve in life because you never get round to starting/ Or, are you the type of person who starts many projects but finishes none?
Would you be interested in learning a simple, effective and easy to to try method for eliminating your tendency to procrastinate? If so, then prepare to become one of those elite individuals who always finishes what they start and someone who always gets the job done!
The first step to eliminating procrastination is to identify the things that need to be done. This should be approached on a daily basis. Start by making a simple list that outlines all the key actions you should take for the coming day in order to get the results you want.
Now go down your list and number them in order of importance. Beside the most important activities place the number 1 and beside the lesser important activities place the number 2, and depending on how large your list is you may want to include a number 3 category. That is, number 1 being the most important and number 2 being the second most important. Have at least two activities that fall into your number 1 category and at least two that fall into number 2 and number 3 categories.
Try to be realistic. When I first started using this method I would place up to 20 items on my to-do list. This was far too much. I had been a procrastinator all my life and to expect myself to complete a list of 20 to-do items was asking the impossible. I soon realised that if I started with a list of 4 or 6 things to do, I would complete all of them. Eventually I upgraded to an A4 size blank diary and almost everyday the pages are filled and tasks completed.
As best you can try varying the tasks and ensuring they are concerned with different areas of your life. This way you will stop yourself from becoming bored with monotonous tasks and you will also keep your motivation high as you see yourself moving forward in different areas.
On your list rearrange the items so that your number 1 priority activities are at the start, the next is your number 2 and so on. Leave a space next to the item and underneath it leave a few lines.
Once you have your list in numbered sequence write beside each one the best time of day for starting the activity. This will give you a way of staying focused on what you need to do and ensure you carry it out in an orderly way ' we don't want you to procrastinate and leave all the items until the end of the day!
Now ensure that you take each of your priority 1 items in turn and tick them off after you do it at the time you specified. In the space beneath, write down a quick description of your feelings. How does it feel now that you have completed the tasks you assigned for yourself. Then reward yourself with a small treat. Anything that you feel is a small treat will do, whether it's just a cup of coffee, bit of chocolate or a piece of cake.
After you have finished your tasks that have a number 2 rating use the same procedure as mentioned above. Tick off each item in turn and jot down how you feel and any additional notes or comments. Ensure you give yourself a special treat after you complete this category. Something that you would not normally give yourself or you would only give yourself on a special occasion. You have really broken through your procrastination and have made real strides in your development of your personal motivation. Keep in mind that it is usually the anticipation of the activity that causes you discomfort and not the activity itself. I find that once I start an activity it becomes relatively easy to finish it.
Also ensure you give yourself a break. Give yourself a break. The length of time you take should depend on the taks you have just completed. Even if the tasks are not at all demanding it is always advisable to set, at least, a few minutes aside to rest and look over what you have achieved. A good time to do this is when you are rewarding yourself.
The plan/do/reward approach to eliminating procrastination works! Use it and you will soon be filling out and completing lists that right now would seem impossible for you to stick to and more importantly you will see the results of your action sin your life. Your personal development will be assured!

What Fear Doesn’t Want You to Know
Do you have a fear or two that goes “bump in the night” now and then?
If you are human, the answer is “Yes.” We all have fears. Some are real. Some are imagined. And some are so sensitive and emotionally-charged that we guard them in our hearts and keep them a closely-guarded secret.
Fear is a very human experience, so don’t think less of yourself if you have one or two. It’s a consequence of being human. We all have to deal with fear.
The fears that rattle us the most often have little to do with life or death. They usually involve far less dramatic subjects such as public speaking, going broke, or somehow appearing foolish.
If you admit to yourself that you have a fear or two, I’ll tell you the secret that fear does not want you to know.
Confront fear and it runs away. Fear is afraid you will discover this secret. When you do, you can banish fear at will.
Regardless of what the fear is, it slinks away as soon as you resolutely stare it down and say with authority in your voice “Take a hike!”
Invariably, you realize that your fear wasn’t as big, bad, and ill-tempered as you thought. In fact, it didn’t even have the backbone to face up to you when you faced up to it.
That’s what fear doesn’t want you to know. It’s really a coward. All you have to do is stand tall in its path and it shrinks away.
Here’s a simple technique I designed that empowers you to do this. For maximum effectiveness, do this in front of a mirror when you have a few minutes alone.
Take a deep breath. Elevate your gaze as if looking at a point just above a distant horizon.
Recall a time when you confronted someone and made your point forcefully and successfully. The time, place, and circumstances are not important. What is important is that you somehow got so worked up that you got into action and met the situation with a burst of unwavering determination.
Perhaps you did this out of righteous indignation. Perhaps you finally decided “Enough’s enough! I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore!” Perhaps you were simply “sick and tired of being sick and tired.”
Whatever the case, revisit this memory. See the scene as if through you own eyes. See, hear, and feel the scene from the perspective of just behind your eyes.
As you replay this experience, let your body assume the same posture and movements as you did at that time. Trust your mind to recreate your expression and tone of voice.
Yes. I know you are talking to yourself. That’s why I suggested that you do this when you have a few solitary moments!
Let your imagination recreate your state of mind and all the gestures, expressions, and tone of voice that went with it. Then let your mind “cut and paste” that past moment into the present one.
Now imagine your fear. Trust your mind to give it a face. Let your imagination do its job without your interference and it will present you with a face you’ll love to confront.
Use your past experience as a guide, template, and point of reference. While still standing in front of the mirror, confront your fear in the same manner as you did in your real-life experience. Almost immediately, you will look, sound, and feel as you did in your point of reference experience. As you recreate the experience physically and verbally, you will notice a feeling of confidence and resolute determination.
So what happened to the fear?
It ran away and it didn’t take long, did it?
I’ve observed that if anything takes a while about this technique, it’s the sense of feeling a little silly about doing it! Once one gets over that, it’s really a lot of fun. And it feels so good!
So now you know fear’s secret fear. Confront it and banish it at will.
Remember this secret and fear will never limit your dreams again.

Ever Wondered Why Everyone Except You Is Moving On?
By: Jason E Johns
“I attend courses, read books, listen to CD’s, yet I am still not living the life I want to and am unhappy with the life I have. How can I have the life I want to have?”
This is a surprisingly common dilemma. There are many people out there who could be called “Seminar Junkies”. They go from course to course, book to book, guru to guru desperately seeking answers, yet never finding them.
They watch the people around them have magical transformations in their lives, and feel frustrated and resentful that they are not getting the same results. These people typically continue to attend course after course until eventually they give up and live a life of quiet desperation.
Now, I’m going to share a huge secret with you, though you have to promise not to tell everyone else, because otherwise all these people who make their living from self help seminars and books will get very upset at me for sharing this secret.
The majority of people who attend self-help seminars, read the books, listen to the CD’s are all desperately looking for someone else to change their lives. They refuse to take responsibility for their lives and firmly believe that the only way they can change is if some guru waves their magic wand and blesses them. Then, and only then, will they have permission, and the ability, to change.
Here’s a newsflash.
No guru, no self help book, no seminar, no CD is going to change your life.
The only way you are going to change your life is if you decide to change it.
You can attend the courses, listen to CD’s and read the books, but if you are not willing to take responsibility for what you have in your life and accept your own power and ability to change it, you are never going to get the changes you want.
That’s right. You’ll just stay the same.
People are far too willing in today’s society to give away their personal power and responsibility for their lives. They are always jumping from diet to diet or from health fad to health fad or whatever, hoping that one of them will actually make a difference for them.
If you want to change your life you need to follow these 5 steps:
Make a decision right now that you are going to change your life. There are many different ways to do this, and I teach a number of motivational techniques on my courses and in my workbooks you can use to help you make this decision.
Take responsibility for everything that is in your life, no matter how good or bad. You created and accepted it into your life, and as such, you can change it.
Decide what you do want in your life, what you are going to accept and what you are not going to accept. If you don’t know what you want, look at what you don’t want, and the opposite of that is what you want. Decide on who and what you want to be. Create an action plan for change. Create a plan for how you are going to make these changes.
And the most important step of all, DO IT. That’s right, do it and make the changes. This is the step that separates the achievers and successful people from the dreamers living a life of mediocrity.
If you have been attending all these seminars, reading these books and you still haven’t managed to change your life, then look inside yourself and ask this question.
“Am I taking responsibility for changing my life?”
If the answer is no, then take responsibility and start changing your life today. Whether you work with someone else, or you work with me, take responsibility and use the knowledge of the “guru’s” and the courses and the books and implement them into your life and create the life of your dreams; the life you deserve.
You can wait for an eternity for someone else to make the changes for you, and it’ll never happen. YOU just have to DO it yourself. Stop putting things off now, because the more you put things off the more painful and difficult it will get.
P.S. If you are reading this and saying “I tried” or “I can’t” or something similar then you absolutely need to re-read this article right now two or three times and implement it into your life. It is time to stop trying and start doing.

Task Management Tools – The Difference Between Average And Successful People
By: Paton Jackson
Task management is the true challenge on the modern world we live in. Time is more precious than ever and the amount of tasks each of us has to cope with is almost endless. The only difference between successful and average people is their ability to manage their tasks effectively. This ability could be improved significantly by using task management software and other task management tools.
Try the following recommended tools to improve your task management abilities:
1. Paper planning systems – Those systems help you organize your life (and your tasks of course).
Think about starting each day with going through your daily task list of the incomplete activities, the prescheduled activities and meetings for the same day, the long range task and goals and only then prioritizing the tasks for the same day and starting to work.
The paper planning pages and systems help you organize your task appropriately. These are the most proven task management system. It had been used by most of the successful managers of the 20th century, and it is still the most popular planning and task management tool.
2. Planning software programs – task management software programs have been here for many years. The problem was that most people manage their tasks and emails on their email system e.g., Microsoft outlook.
The most effective task management software programs are the ones that have a direct interface with outlook or other email programs. This interface include powerful tools like goal planning tools, project management tools, task prioritizing tools and more all using only the outlook user interface.
3. PDAs – PDA stands for a personal digital assistant. A typical PDA can function as a cellular phone, fax sender, Web browser and personal organizer. Most of the modern managers use PDAs as Ipaq or Palm as their personal diary, meeting scheduler and task manager. PDAs are small, convenient and user friendly.
Don’t wait. Start managing your tasks more effectively today by using one of the above task management tools. Go and get them.

As I Lay Me Down To Sleep …
What do you do before you go to sleep at night?
I don’t mean brush your teeth and change into your nice blue pyjamas with the little white sheep on.
I mean what do you do in your head?
Do you think about anything specific? The next day? The day you’ve just got through?
Or do you tap into an incredibly powerful part of you and set it to work, so that it gets the whole night to work on things for you so when you wake up you have answers to questions you asked?
I bet you’d like to know how to do that wouldn’t you?
Well, the good news is, it’s simple, so easy, even I can do it!
Ok, I’ll tell you … here’s the secret.
When you go to sleep at night, it is only your conscious mind that sleeps. Your sub-conscious mind keeps on working. If it went to sleep, you’d have a few problems as it controls important things like your breathing and heart! So naturally, it keeps working and is “awake” all night long.
Now your sub-conscious mind just happens to be rather good at processing information and connecting random dots to make works of art.
So when you go to sleep, focus your mind on the things that are bothering you and ask your sub-conscious mind to help.
Naturally, I decided I was going to experiment with this on myself and see what it would do. For a number of weeks I used to say this to myself every single night when I put my head on the pillow, before I went to sleep.
“I ask my sub-conscious mind to work on all of my issues and challenges in life and replace them with positive, empowering programs.”
I did this for a couple of days and to be honest, I didn’t really feel much.
I decided to keep it up because I was curious what would happen if I did and if it really would be effective.
Anyway, about day 3 or 4 I started to feel a bit perkier than normal. I found myself feeling a bit more positive, more bouncy and I started to do things that I had been putting off for ages (and by ages, I mean months!).
I didn’t really think anything of it, but kept my experiment up. About a week after I started I was feeling really good and very bouncy and full of life.
Again, I thought nothing of it, not connecting my pre-bedtime intention with this change.
Then one day a friend happened to ask me if I’d been taking happy pills because I was annoyingly positive and then it hit me.
Every night for the last ten days or so I had been setting this intention and gradually I had been feeling better and better. It wasn’t a massive change all of a sudden, just a series of small changes.
I smiled at my friend and jumped around very excitedly sharing with her what I had been doing and the results it was having for me.
Of course, she was really excited and has been doing exactly the same every night since and is still shocked by how such a little thing is having such a big difference.
So, when you go to sleep at night as you set your alarm clock, set your intention too, and wake up and feel the difference!

Organizing For Dollars
With the success of EBay and the increasing cost of running a household, everyone should see dollar signs when they look at things in their home! Unorganized homes cost money! When was the last time you REALLY got your home cleaned out and organized?
How does that unorganized home cost you money? When you can’t find something, you tend to buy a new one. If you can’t find tax paperwork when the IRS calls you for an audit THAT will cost you money! When you lose bills in piles of paperwork and get hit with that late charge THAT just cost you money! Running around trying to find things you KNOW you have but can’t find costs you time and energy and that usually costs money. Knowing where your home owner’s insurance policy is when that hurricane is bearing down on you is a critical thing!
Being organized allows you to know what you do NOT need and if that’s the case get rid of it. If you have things you want to get rid of consider donating them to charitable organizations (remember to get a receipt for the donations if you can itemize). Recently, I donated old glasses to an organization that collects them for the needy. I donated stuffed animals to the state police (no receipt here but it was a good cause!) for children in accidents or children pulled out of abusive homes. I sent several nice suits to a local organization that helps dress women for interviews (frequently these women are on state aid and coming out of education programs and can’t afford nice interview clothes). When you REALLY start to look around you, there are plenty of great programs and people who are desperate for those things that you do NOT need!
Now, you might prefer to get cash for those extras you have. EBay is huge these days! Although I’ve never done this and can’t offer any advice or help, a quick inquiry in a search engine will pull up lots of free help.
Another get-cash option is holding a tag-sale. You can do this with several other families in a well seen location or maybe haul what you have to a flea market. I, personally, take my stuff to our local flea market because there is serious traffic there and I can do very well.
How do you get organized? Trust me, don’t do it all in one day. Stay focused on ONE thing at a time. Don’t start the garage at 4 o’clock in the afternoon. Pick jobs that fit the time frame. If you have an hour, maybe clean out a few drawers, a kitchen counter that collects paperwork, or a few cookbooks you KNOW you haven’t used in five years! Keep boxes for the stuff you find. Mark one for the garbage, one for donations and one for “not sure” stuff. Feed boxes well! Make sure to file paperwork accordingly and keep important paperwork together and in properly marked envelopes or file organizer. Put the “not sure” box aside for 6 months. If you haven’t used it or needed it in that time frame, consider moving it to the garbage box or donation box
Do you have kids who don’t want to part with any unused toys? Consider getting them into the clean out by showing them how their unused toys could make a child in a homeless shelter or an abused woman’s shelter, very happy. I know our church sends small toys to Haiti through Haiti Project (read, all those Happy Meal toys!). Less in the landfills and a smile on a child’s face, somewhere! Show them how their donated toys can raise money for the Salvation Army or other relief organizations that were there when Katrina hit. You might end up cleaning out a lot of stuff by showing them that it really is better to give than receive.
Bottom line, look around your home and decide what you need, what you want and then what you should get rid of. Make the most of what you get rid of either by donating it or selling it. Then look around and give yourself a pat on your back for cleaning out and organizing your life and your home and count the cash (from your sale or tax refund) and those good feelings you get by giving to some great causes.

Developing Your Time Management Skills
By: seoprofessional
Regardless of your daily schedule, whether you work for someone else or yourself, your goal is to compete against yourself to see how much you can get done that contains the most value every day. Think of it as a personal game that you are playing. Each day when you set your personal deadlines and making the most of your schedule, work to race against those set time goals. Work faster, beat the clock, and accomplish your tasks earlier than expected.
Do you want to know how to make the most out of your time? Are you searching for a way to get where you want to be in life faster than the speed you are currently going? The key to succeeding in these areas involves understanding and implementing time management strategies that high achievers use every day of their lives to make more money, increase time spent with family, and achieve all around happiness in life. http://www.eselfhypnosis.com
Now take a look a few years from now and imagine yourself as being the most productive and successful people in your career field. What would your day be like? What would you look like? How much work would you accomplish each day? What hours would you be working? These questions are to be written on paper to help you create a vision for yourself. Doing so and taking a look at your vision every day on paper will do more for your time management needs than anything else.
Keep the mental vision of yourself as a super product individual in your mind at all times. To help keep this mental picture alive in your head you can use a technique that works for thousands of successful men and women all over the globe. And that technique is to remember a time when you were the most productive in your life. Remember how effective you were at handling those tasks at that time. Consider how efficient you were. You were doing all of the right things and at the right time and at record speed. In addition to accomplishing more, remember how good you felt about yourself and the confidence that properly managing your time did for you.
Once you have created a clear mental picture of the our future self, continue to visualize your ideal self as if you already had the time management traits that you desire to have today. Strive to act as if you had the urgency of the “you-of-tomorrow” in everything that you are working for today. Remember that the person that you see in your vision can and will be the person that exists today, so long as you keep that vision regardless of the circumstances. “So starting today, set the same goals, work with the same vigor, and feel as though you were making the most of your time as you are with your future-self and as you did in the past. http://www.eselfhypnosis.com

Broke? Fix It Yourself: BE Wealthy
By: Carina MacInnes
If you’re reading this right now you probably have been broke, are broke, or know someone who is struggling with being broke. The pain and suffering of being in this state is truly awful. Being broke causes thoughts of despair, feelings of failure, desperation, struggle, lack and need. Being broke prevents us from reaching our potential, from living our lives freely. Being broke prevents us from being wealthy.
How is this possible? Like attracts like. Being broke attracts more experiences of being broke. It is a vicious cycle, once that can very easily be transformed once we understand the fundamental laws of how our mind and spirit interact with the universe.
It is your underlying state of BEING, in this case, being broke, that creates the resultant thoughts and feelings in your mind. As a package, this whole message is broadcast to the universe, which in return gives you more of the same: experiences of being broke.
One of the laws of manifestation is that we must BE before we can DO, and DO before we can HAVE. Of course modern society has twisted this all around. Being broke is a powerful message we are sending to the universe and ourselves. We are in a state of BEING, and it is broke. This will inform our actions to act in ways to continue to be broke, and we will continue to have this condition of being broke in our lives.
Your life experience is an outer reflection of your inner reality. All the thoughts and feelings you hold, consciously and unconsciously, are what create the experience that is your life. Your past created your present, and your present is creating your future.
It can be hard to understand that we are responsible for what we experience. I remember being unhappy, and then experiencing events that I perceived as causing me to be unhappy. Then I would say to myself, I am unhappy because of this… no wonder I am unhappy. I was trapped in my own vicious cycle and had no idea it was me who was responsible for my experiences of unhappiness.
To break the cycle I first needed to know what was broken in order to fix it. It was the message I was sending out. I found there was a very simple way to fix it.
If I notice one day that I am unhappy, and understand that BEING unhappy is the cause of my continuing experience of unhappiness, it is that day that I can choose to change. All I need to do to break the cycle is: choose to be happy. It doesn’t take anything from outside myself to be happy. All I have to do is gain awareness, pause, and pull up from within myself the state of being happy, replacing the unhappiness. We all have this capacity.
Choosing is an exercise of free will. You can choose BE happy, healthy, wealthy, whatever you desire. Take a moment and just BE happy. It is possible for anyone to do and a very powerful exercise once you have done it and understood it. If you are being happy, you will do things that make you happy, and you will attract happy experiences into your life. Being happy is the first step towards living a happy life. It seems almost like a riddle, but understanding it unravels the secrets of life.
If you find yourself broke, look within. You’ll find you feel broke, and are in a powerful state of BEING. The awareness of this gives you the choice. You can choose your state of being. Imagine what it is like to feel wealthy. Take that feeling and hold it, you are now BEING wealthy. This is how to break the vicious cycle of being broke. By BEING wealthy, you are now transforming the signals you are broadcasting. You are emanating wealth and the laws of cause and effect have no choice but to bring to you what you already are. Now your actions will begin to bring to you the wealth you feel inside.
By being conscious of your states of being, you can choose to change them. The positive results will return to you without fail, following the natural laws of the universe.

Use Anger Productively: A 5 Step Process
Anger is neither good nor bad! It is simply energy.
It is your natural emotional energy that arises when you feel like something (or someone) is blocking you from getting what you need or want. For this purpose, anything on the frustration to rage continuum is considered anger.
Without making any judgments about whether you should need or want any particular thing, here is how you can direct your own supercharged energy.
1. Notice that you're angry. Sometimes it is unmistakable -- if you didn't restrain yourself you would be yelling or getting physical -- and getting yourself into trouble. Sometimes it is more subtle: a clenched jaw that almost feels normal, an ache in your gut, tight shoulders, or just snapping at people who haven't done anything wrong.
2. Figure out why you are angry. Again, sometimes it is obvious, and sometimes it is hidden in a jumble of normal activities.
Perhaps many small frustrations have added up to one massive headache.
3. Think about what would need to change for your angry feelings to dissolve completely and be replaced with satisfaction. Sometimes it is a simple as an apology. Sometimes nothing short of a massive change in your environment will do the trick.
4. Use your energy to strategize how you can arrange to make the change happen. If the necessary change is too big to manage all at once, think about a small piece of the bigger change where you can make an impact now.
5. Take the first step. Maybe it is working on a physical task for 15 minutes to begin to clean up a mess. Maybe it is asking someone to do something differently! It doesn't matter how big or small that first step is-do something now!
Your focused angry energy is powerful. Keep using it to push for the changes that will make a real difference for you.

The Power Of A Single Thought.
Lately I have been taking some time off from studying books on leadership, finance and the betterment of Humanity, to engage my mind in the relaxation of reading a few fictional novels, and what I have discovered is this. I have noticed that my mind works differently when reading and establishing thoughts on leadership or finance, as it processes things more on the side of task, function, action and goals, which is the left side of the brain. But interestingly, as I come home from a nights lecturing and begin to wind down in my hotel room, I find I'm denying the temptation of the TV to sit down to continue my absorption in this world of fiction and imagination.
John Lennon in his classic well remembered and loved lyric, 'Imagine...it's easy if you try' is a perfect truth, which was being manifested for me as my mind and imagination began to form vivid pictures and mindscapes of literally everything that was being described in the book I was reading. So powerful was this experience that I nicknamed it 'Mind TV' because the experience was so real and vivid, and there was seemingly no real difference from television or a movie except that my mind produced the vision with more clarity, reality and in a three dimensional world.
I began to think and imagine what the mind was doing in gathering the information from parts of my memory, to display on the screen of my mind this vivid reality. One scene was in the Arctic region, another in Rome, another on a 18th century whaling vessel, another in a supersonic jet travelling at Mach 3, but it made no difference to my mind as it simply flashed around my memory banks to retrieve the information from whatever source I may have seen it in my life, to display it full reality on the screen of my mind. So real was this that I was watching a DVD movie of one of the books I had read, and there was a scene developing when I suddenly said to my wife, 'they've cut out a scene, they've missed out an incredibly important bit'. We went back over it a couple of times when I realised that I had read it in the book, and I was blown away that I could not tell the difference between the scenes of this movie, which I had also seen before, and the scenes that had been vividly created and displayed by the ingenious imagination of my mind.
God has given the power of thought, imagination and focus to us through His creative process, for us to engage thought toward the attainment of riches, the development of things, and to bring aid and resources to the poor and needy. As humans we have been given the ability to think and imagine what the world, or more to the point OUR world could be like, but the tragedy is that most of us don't give even a few seconds a day to a sustained creative THOUGHT, let alone a disciplined approach, we simply run our lives on AUTO PILOT.
The power of a single thought aided by imagination and focus can produce limitless potential. Transportation - an engine - an automobile - an airplane; there are many examples we could describe, as progressions of thought have been allowed to take shape and manifest into reality. You see the power of thought and imagination has no limits or boundaries to its ability to CONCEIVE, it is only blocked by our ability to BELIEVE.
A bible verse out of the Book of Hebrews, chapter 11 verse 1, says 'That faith is the substance of THINGS hoped for, the evidence of THINGS yet seen.' There is a popular expression around that says, 'THOUGHTS CREATE THINGS' and I believe that in this verse above is the expression of Gods intended creative purpose for us. That in the concentration of a prominent thought, where focused discipline is used over time, faith will engage the creative substance to produce concrete EVIDENCE that we are on the road to fully attaining the THINGS hoped for, and in time will literally produce into the real world, your THOUGHT, your HOPE, your DREAM.
The creative substance is not intimidated by how big your dream is, or how much money you desire to equip you for your intended dream and purpose. One Million Dollars or One Billion Dollars is no different when speaking to uncreated substance, it all relies on our ability to THINK, IMAGINE and BELIEVE.
Albert Einstein said, 'Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions'. What attracts you to life? Is it the hope of riches, the plight of the needy and the poor? What THINGS do you think about? IMAGINATION and the POWER of a single THOUGHT can make a world of difference.
IMAGINE all the people living life in PEACE - you may say that I'm a DREAMER, but I'm not the only ONE.
THINK ABOUT IT.

Subconscious Mind Power - 3 Vital Steps to Unleash It!
The subconscious mind is a seat of magnificent power. With it, you can literally get anything you want. However, only a few people are maximizing its unlimited potentials.
Three necessary and unusual steps must be taken to unleash your hidden subconscious mind power.
First, you must engulf yourself with the pictures, visual representations, or symbols of the things related to the things you want to accomplish. You may also surround yourself with objects that produce sounds that remind you of your goals.
When you surround yourself with positive images or sounds, your subconscious mind will imprint those images or record those sounds in your head. You will be reminded of your goals often. The result will be a focused mind capable of blocking out distractions and manifesting your thoughts into reality.
Second, you must ask yourself the right positive and success-driven questions all the time. Too often, we ask questions like:
"Why am I always failing to achieve my goals in life?"
"How come I am stuck in this dead-end job, without any hope for career advancement?"
"Why can't I have the same amount of creativity and intelligence as he is?"
"How can such unfortunate events be happening to me?"
"Why am I always running out of luck?"
Yikes! What stupid questions to ask yourself! Everyday, people keep on asking themselves endless
negative questions. These people subject their minds to negative subconscious programming that impede their personality development and force them downward to the spiral of failure.
Their subconscious mind will always try to respond to such pessimistic questions, resulting in massive mental and emotional self-destruction.
The subconscious will come up with various explanations, reasons, and justifications to persuade them that they are goal setting failures, that they don't deserve a great career, that they can't be as lucky, creative, good looking, or rich as other people, even if all of these negative circumstances are untrue! They are only attracting negativity and failure to manifest in their reality.
Now my question to you is: Are you one of them? If yes, change your attitude and bad habits now! Most of all, ask questions that demand positive, success-driven answers.
When you ask a good question to the powerful subconscious, you will get a good answer! In fact, not only will you get a good answer; your subconscious may actually come up with an almost magical
response/solution that may surprise you!
Ask your subconscious questions such as:
"What shall I read to improve my memory?"
"How can I overcome my shyness and enhance my relationships?"
"How can I have a strong and healthy body?"
"What can I do to earn $7,000 next month?"
"What must I do to get that promotion?"
Third, know your purpose. When you have a sufficient strong and intense purpose to accomplish your goals, your subconscious will always find a way to help you achieve them. This is power motivation at work!
If you're just satisfied with whatever life throws at you, not knowing the rationale behind what you're doing, then you'll have a much difficult time reaching your dreams.
And this is where the power of purpose comes to work. If you have a highly emotional purpose behind your actions, you will be more prompted to take inspired action and do whatever it takes to reach your
destination.
Always ask yourself, "Why am I doing this?"
It's either you have/find a satisfactory answer or change your agenda!
When I ask myself why I am determined to finish a project, I immediately have an answer, which may consist of any of the following:
1) I want to improve the lives of as many people as I can.
2) I want to go on a vacation to a specific country (using money earned from the project).
3) I want to donate to charity.
4) I love the feeling of being able to conquer any challenge and accomplish something worthwhile.
Now it's my turn to ask you. What's your purpose?

The Easiest Way To Achieve Happiness
People always think that what they want is money, relationship, material possessions, but what they truly want is happiness. Wealth, health and relationship are just the rewards of being happy. Happiness is a state of vibration that is in harmony with the universe. As you have already known, the same frequency vibrations tend to attract each other, so the vibration of happiness is going to attract more wealth, better relationship and better health, since these things is going to add more happiness to your life, and they are in the same vibration. If you go after money, you may not get it, if you go after happiness, money will flow to you. The same apply to relationship and health.
I believe the ultimate goal in life is to achieve a state of well being, or we can simply say happiness.
Is there an easier way to achieve happiness? The answer is Yes! and I am now going to show you how.
I had learned one phrase from Dr Wayne Dyer, and I would never forget. The phrase is " How may I serve?". Dr dyer said that before his seminars, he will always sit for mediation, and repeat the phrase as a mantra "How may I serve... How may I serve?". He never bring any notes with him, and when he speaks, the words just keep flowing to him. He knows exactly what to say, and what to teach. Dr Wayne Dyer is one of my best role model. He has achieved great success in almost every ear of his life. I believe the one single most important element to Dr Wayne Dyer's success is this mantra "How may I serve?"
Ask yourself now "How may I serve?". This is the key to ultimate happiness and fulfillment in life. I would like to share some of my own experience.
The most enjoyable things in my life at this stage is writing articles that can makes a difference in the quality of people's life. Whenever I finish writing an article, I feel the positive energy all over my body. I sometime get puzzled myself, where does this information come from? How do I write so many articles, having thousands of people read my articles every week? I finally realized the secret is within this phrase "How may I serve?".
Every time when I write a article for my newsletter, I sit in front of my computer, and ask myself "How may I serve, How may I serve?". Strangely, the ideas will come, and I put my fingers on the keyboards, then words just starts following.
I didn't understand how this process works, until one day I realized that the information does not come from me, it comes from God (or the Higher Intelligence), I am only an channel for the information to flow. I am a channel that God has created to serve the world. Because that is what I am here for, so when I am serving, I feel positive energy, and I feel happy.
I have learned that my life purpose is to serve, and I think this is applicable to everyone. This is what God wants me to learn, this is also what God wants you to learn. You will only truly feel fulfilled once you realize this truth. "Your life purpose is to serve" I am sure you have heard of that "If you seek happines
