The first step in any life change is to visualize what it is that you want for yourself. Before you can plan the necessary action, you need to know where you are heading. To do this you must visualize your goal.
Conceptualize Your Goal in Positive Terms
The desire to change is usually motivated by dissatisfaction with the present situation. Because of this, when it's time to identify your goals, you may think in terms of what you want to get rid of.
The problem with focusing on what you don't want is that it doesn't really help you to identify what it is that you do want. You can see what you are moving away from but you lack clear objective regarding where you want to go.
When you conceptualize your goals in positive terms you give yourself direction:
What is it that you really want?
What would feel right for you?
If you could write your own script and have things turn out exactly as you want them to, what would the outcome be?
Knowing where you want to go tells you where you are heading. Once you have clear direction, the steps you need to take will become apparent.
You Can Visualize Your Goal, Even If You Don't Know How You Will Achieve It.
You may resist visualizing your goal if you have no idea how you are going to get from here to there. It is important, however, to recognize that knowing where you want to go provides necessary direction that will inform the steps you need to take.
Once you know where you are headed, it becomes much easier to identify the steps to get there. You will become alert to possibilities you might not have noticed, were you not focused on your goal.
How To Visualize Your Goals
While thoughts about how you'd like things to be may come and go, it is valuable to set time aside to focus on your goals. This process can provide clarity, which will help you to find direction.
1. Give yourself some time when you know you will be uninterrupted.
Sit down, take a few deep breaths and allow yourself to relax. Or, if inspiration comes more easily when you are taking a walk or a run or swimming laps, use that time to imagine what it is you want for yourself. What's important is that you give yourself space and time to really focus on how you want your future to be.
2. Now, ask yourself "What is it that I really want here?"
Don't try to figure out the answer to this question. Instead, allow some time for the awareness of your goal to emerge. Be open to anything that comes to you.
3. Imagine that you have achieved your goal.
Notice how you feel with your goal accomplished. Be aware of any unexpected consequences that come to mind as you imagine your goal fulfilled.
If potential unforeseen consequences came to mind when you imagined your vision fulfilled, give yourself plenty of opportunity to address any questions raised. Be very patient with the process.
Suspend judgment for now This is a creative process, like brainstorming. Quiet any critical voice that says "You could never do that!" or "That's impossible!" Encourage yourself to dream big. Later on you will have plenty of opportunity to assess the feasibility of your vision and explore ways you can implement it.
You may need to allow a few days or even weeks for the details of your vision to take form. Be open to any additional inspiration that comes to you after you initially visualize your goal.
You can keep track of your vision as it evolves by keeping a journal in which you record the insights you receive. Taking notes will enable you to feel confident that you won't forget any of the details.
Once your goal is clear, you can explore the possibilities for achieving it. Through this process the 'how to's' will become apparent. Your initial vision may be modified in the process, but you will be moving in the right direction toward making your good life better!

How to Attract Money
One of the most common goals people set when first learning about the Law of Attraction is to attract more money into their lives. They're sick of struggling, sick of not having enough, and they're eager to find relief. Unfortunately, attracting money is often one of the most difficult objectives, simply because money carries such heavy emotional weight in our lives. There's a lot riding on the success (or failure) of our goal to attract more money! Namely, our peace of mind, happiness, security - and much more.
Unfortunately, placing such strong emphasis on the outcome of money attraction only creates more blockages. The more you think you desperately "need" more money; the more you believe you can't be happy without it; the more frustrated you get when it isn't showing up - the longer it's going to take to attract it.
The good news is that there are a few simple things you can do to make the process easier:
1) Lighten up!
The more tense and serious you are about attracting money, the harder it's going to be. If you instead look at it like a fun game, you'll be devoting a perfect mixture of light, positive energy to the process - which is a natural prosperity attractor! In fact, make it your mission to be lighthearted and easygoing about money and everything else in your life from now on. Not only will you end up attracting more money, but also more love, joy, peace, fun and passion in all areas of your life.
2) Be what you want to attract.
Another common blockage is the perception of "here and there." You believe you are HERE, in the midst of lack and struggle, and you are trying to get over THERE, where there is peace and abundance aplenty.
What you'll eventually realize is that there is no "here or there."
There is only right now, and whatever you are communicating to the universe right now is what you are creating in your physical reality.
Rather than focusing on trying to ATTRACT more money, BECOME a person who has all the money they could ever need. Think, feel and act as if your goal is already achieved, and the universe will make it so! Focus daily on feeling happy, abundant, peaceful, secure, and grateful and you will attract life circumstances that correspond with those feelings.
3) Let go.
Don't worry about "how" your money will come. Don't focus obsessively on winning the lottery, receiving an inheritance or anything else specific. Let the universe decide how it will come.
Keep your eyes open for opportunities to receive more money and act on them if you see them, but otherwise detach and know that it's on the way! This is easier said than done, but the more you try to control "how" your abundance comes, the more blockages you create.
Additionally, be sure to let go of WHEN money comes into your life.
You might be tempted to set a deadline, but the universe has its own timing and wisdom. Be willing to trust and let go, and you open a gateway for immense blessings to flow into your life.
It’s About Time
Ever find yourself wishing you had just a few more hours in the day to get it all done? Between work and family responsibilities alone, it can be challenging to juggle time for everything. Surely we were created for more than a life on a continuous treadmill where we never seem to catch up.
Futurists predicted that, in the 21st century, work would be done in virtual organizations and paperless offices. Some even said that the work week would drop to 35, or even 30 hours, and that too much leisure time could become a problem.
Has that been your experience? It's not what I see happening with the busy professionals I work with everyday. Over the past quarter-century, the number of hours spent working has continued to rise. The constant pressure to reduce costs and to do more with less often leaves employees in an unending cycle of overwork and overwhelm which ultimately leads to decreased productivity and efficiency in the organization. With the extra work and increased pace we strive to keep up with, we are quickly catapulted into a world of stress, exhaustion and even health problems if we don't make our self- care a top priority.
What is the solution? Time management can help. Or rather, more effective use of time can help. When you think about it, you don't really manage time, you manage yourself and how you choose to spend each 24 hour day you are given. By having tools and support available, you can better manage yourself and the choices you make.
Top 5 Tips for Managing Time
1. Stop using time as an excuse. We all have the same 24 hours in a day You choose how you use your 1,440 precious minutes each day. If someone - or something - else is determining how you use your minutes and hours, now may be an excellent time to look at changes you need to make.
2. Find out where you spend your time. It may sound odd to suggest taking time in an already busy schedule to assess how you are using time, but do know where you are spending your time? Try tracking your time for the next week and see just what you are doing with your 24 hours. This exercise will help you identify opportunities for changes to alleviate time pressures.
3. Simplify your life. Clear your schedule of time-consuming activities that are not essential. Over-volunteering, doing other people's work, relationships that are not working... these are a great place to start simplifying and reclaiming valuable time.
4. Be intentional about scheduling. If you want to accomplish a task, you must be intentional about scheduling it. For example, if you want to go to the gym to workout, you must put it on your calendar and plan for time to get there and back as well as for your workout. Insert it into your schedule, and then guard the time carefully to make sure nothing gets in the way of you getting it done.
5. Zap Time Wasters. Time wasted can never be regained. A few examples... browsing the Internet, email, chatting with co-workers, looking for things, and talking on the phone. Zap these time bandits by: scheduling a time to return phone calls and email, getting organized so that time is not wasted looking for tools and papers or using an Internet reminder service to keep track of important dates or events.

With so many distractions in our midst, with so many excuses and reasons to quit, how do you stay motivated to achieve your goals?

Goal setting is the true secret to success in any area of life. Setting your goals may seem simple, achieving them usually is another question altogether. Why is that?
Because you will never achieve your goals unless you:
(1) know exactly what you want,
(2) are passionate about your goal, and
(3) have a solid, realistic plan of action.
This is what marks the difference between nebulous dreams and wishes - and truly achievable goals!
Here are 5 time-tested methods that will help get the success you deserve.
1. Know exactly what your goal is
Your first job is to discover exactly what your goal is. What will achieving that goal really look like? Be as specific as possible about exactly what your desired end result is. Your success will be a measure of your clarity - since an achievable goal plan cannot be created around a nebulous "dream."
If your goal is to create a more successful business, what will that look like? Are you thinking in terms of simply hiring someone else to give you more free time? Are you looking for a very specific monthly profit? Or can your goal be best expressed in terms of a certain lifestyle? Regardless of what you want, the best way to get it is to first clarify exactly what you want in as much detail as possible. This can be hard work. But without a clear mental picture, you'll never have the focus required to achieve your goal.
2. Be willing to pay the "entry fee"
Success takes dedicated planning and effort. In a way it's like building a house. In the beginning all you have is a rough concept. But there's always an *entry fee* to be paid for success.
The entry fee?
Creating more success in your business may mean less recreational time. Writing your own book may require less TV. Being closer to your children may require adjusting your work or social activities.
3. Focus on your goal every day
Consistent daily focus is absolutely necessary to "burn in" the new neural pathways you need to create your new goal. Without daily focus, the old mental habits that have kept you from your goal will continue to take over.
That's why success is an every-day event. Re-commit to your goal every day. Don't let your goal take a back seat to the daily tasks and distractions that will try to take over. Life WILL try to get in your way. Just get, and stay, on course every day. Focus on your goal, and on success!
4. Get passionate

1. Know Your Purpose-- Above all, for a goal to have motivating power, it must be meaningful to you. Write out a Purpose Statement for your goal. Know what’s in it for you. What will it contribute to your life? In addition to what you expect to gain from the outcome, think about how the pursuit itself will benefit you. What skills will your goal call on you to stretch or acquire?
2. Map Your Route-- It’s become a cliché because it’s true: Failing to plan is planning to fail. Know the mileposts between you and your goal and have a detailed plan for reaching the first one. As you near the first milepost, begin to develop details of your plan for reaching the next one. The lure of the next milepost will whet your eagerness to keep going and fire your enthusiasm for wrapping up the current one.

5. Ask Questions-- Ask yourself questions about your goal constantly. Ask if there’s a straighter path. Ask how else you can look at it or what else you need to do or know. Your mind will automatically produce or lead you to answers. Ask kids how they would approach the step you’re focused on, or people wholly outside your field. Explaining your question to them will help you understand better what you’re seeking, and their answers may trigger new ways to look at your situation.
6. Read Goal-Related Material Daily-- Capitalize on the fact that you life in the information age. Every day find at least one more nugget of data about your goal. Seek out the top-notch experts in your field, study what they say and do, and apply what you learn.
7. Have an Idea Catcher Handy -- Good ideas pop up suddenly and evaporate as quickly as they come. Be prepared to catch them. Record enough details to let yourself recapture the idea later. A single word or two that seems significant at the moment may look nonsensical later. Set aside time every day to transfer all the ideas you have collected into one central file. Not only will that keep good ideas from getting lost, but it will program your mind to continue producing and elaborating on them.
8. Talk It Up -- Ruthlessly guard your self-talk. Delete every doubt instantly. Choose to believe you can achieve your aim whether the way is apparent or not. Learn to craft affirmations and use them continuously. Mastering your mindset is the one essential to achieving your goal.
9. Ramp It Up-- Use the Power of Two to invigorate yourself. Stay at a task for 2 minutes longer. Add 2 more ideas to your file. Make 2 more contacts. Ask 2 more questions. Secret Behind Goals and Goal Setting
What are your goals and goal setting strategies? What do you want to achieve? What do you want to do with your life? What could make your life better? What would you like to do to make this a better world to live in?
All these questions have been asked by ourselves, parents, friends, relatives and others to help us focus on what we would like to achieve in our lives?
Simply put, a goal is some desired state that we would like to achieve in the future.
Often other terms are used for the word "goal." Some of these are: objective, object, desire, intention, task, deadline, aim, end, mission, purpose, resolution, target, mark, aspiration, and even dream. Perhaps you can think of other terms.
Regardless of whether you use the term "goal" or one of the other synonyms, the setting of goals is a part of a vibrant life. Without them, we become dolts just subsisting from day to day. Setting--and achieving--goals sets us apart from the animals that operate strictly by instinct.
Many people think of goals and goal setting as a simplistic and perhaps outdated process. However, researchers have applied some very rigorous testing to the process to see if setting goals really works. Two of the most prolific researchers in goal setting examined the vast array of studies, including their own, to arrive at some conclusions. Edwin A. Locke and Gary P. Latham have arrived at the following conclusions about goal setting (as chronicled in their book--A Theory of Goal Setting and Task Performance) that may help you in your quest to set and achieve goals in your life:
1. Rational, goal-directed action is essential for happiness and survival.
2. Hard goals, if committed to, lead to greater effort, persistence, and, ultimately, to achievement.
3. People can successfully pursue more than one goal at a time.
4. Confidence in achieving any specific goal is essential.
5. Specific, challenging goals lead to greater effort.
6. Commitment is essential to goal achievement.
7. Feedback is essential so that the individual may make adjustments in effort.
8. Unrealistic goals lead to less effort and, ultimately, less probability of achievement.
9. Persistent and effort over time leads to greater probability of achievement.
10. Specific, challenging goals directs a person's knowledge and skills, rather than vague, general goals.
We've all tried "New Year's Resolutions" and failed. Maybe, once in a while, we've even been serious enough to accomplish our resolutions. Check over the list of essential goal-achievement conditions above, and you will see that the times when you've achieved your resolutions--and other goals for that matter--these conditions normally applied.
When you've not been able to achieve a goal, the reason probably lies in not meeting some of the conditions laid out by Locke and Latham.
In fact, you could make a checklist of the items above to see if your goals are realistic and achievable.

In order to be able to set effective goals, we need to do some homework to find out what we need first. Goal setting without enough motivation to achieve it is like not setting goal at all. Our brain will deny doing things to achieve the goals because we do not see the necessity in our mind. And all things start with the mind. Goal setting is like any other meaningful activity. It needs discipline and hard working to make it and review it. What we need to check so that we can be good at goal setting are the following.
What we like most? What we want to do if we will not have to work for the rest of our life? What we want to do if we do not earn from what we are doing? The answers of these questions will reveal what we want in life and will enable us to have enough reasons for our goals. After we know the reason, we need to write the goals down in paper. Do not just have goals in mind. It will not last. Goal setting will not have any meaning if you just put it in the air and do not want to do anything. Writing down your goals will enhance your possibility of achieving them by five times. Do not ignore this important step. The best time to write down your goal is when you have most powerful mind power which is either before going to bed or immediately after you wake up. The number of goals that you set up will depend on what area you need to concentrate on. The best number of goals should be around twenty for short term and fifty for long term. Keeping the goals with you will help you remind the purpose of them and the steps to follow through.
Regularly visualize yourself achieving the goals will be another process to follow. It will attract the situation and attributes to help us being closer to our goals according to the law of attraction. Make sure that you make enough visualization daily and if you need, you can add the accelerated music to the process.

You Might Be Wasting Your Time Setting Goals
Why do some people achieve their goals and others don't? The answer to this question is one of the most important concepts to understand if you are serious about becoming successful.
People get the goals that are aligned to their subconscious expectations and they don't get the goal that are contrary to their subconscious expectation.
What do I mean by expectation?
One of the jobs of your subconscious mind is to keep your life "on track" but what is it keeping it on track to? We each have, in our subconscious mind, a model of what life should be like for us. This model is called your expectation.
Where do your expectations come from?
Your expectations comes from the sum total of all your life experiences to date. That includes every thing that you have done, heard, said, read, seen, and experienced. The stronger the emotional impact of an experience or the greater the repetition of an experience, the greater the contribution it makes to your expectation.
How does your expectation influence your life?
Your subconscious uses your expectation as the guide to decide what is "normal" for you. This is a very important function as our survival depends on our ability to behave consistently. This goes right back through our species history all the way to the caveman days. If our caveman ancestor did not possess a drive toward consistency then he would never have learned how to successfully hunt or gather food or how to reliably avoid being eaten by predators.
We live a very different life today to the life lived by the cavemen but our brains are almost identical. Our subconscious still looks to help us be consistent and it does that by building our expectation and keeping us true to it.
If your expectations are subconscious then how do you know what they are?
It is very easy to tell what your subconscious expectations are; just look at your life. What you have and who you are is the reflection of your subconscious expectation.
How do you change your expectations?
We've all experienced what it is like to go against our subconscious expectations. It is usually referred to as being outside our comfort zone. The feeling can range from mild discomfort up to extreme distress depending on how far outside our comfort zone we are.
Successfully changing an unwanted expectation is a two step process.
Step 1: Scramble the unwanted expectation.
There are many powerful techniques that are used to scramble unwanted expectations. I'll give you a simple exercise that combines two of the techniques.
Firstly hold in your mind an image of you experiencing the unwanted expectation. Then fade that image so the colors are duller, the image is blurred any sounds associated with that image are distorted and unintelligible. Then imagine that image being broken up and rearranged like mixing up pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.
The more scrambled you make the image the weaker the subconscious pattern becomes.
Step 2: Now you need to immediately install a new expectation.
The best way to install a new expectation is by using affirmations. Give yourself an affirmation for each characteristic of the new expectation that you want to develop. Make sure that the affirmation is in positive, present moment language.
Repetition increases the power of these techniques.
If you repeat the scrambling exercise each day and follow it immediately with the affirmations then soon you will have your subconscious expectation lining up with your conscious goals and then achieving your goals will be easier than ever before.

Goals are very important in everyone’s life and, as such, goal setting is equally important to helping us achieve our hopes and dreams. The most important aspect of goal setting is to make sure that the plan is a realistic one. For example, it’s impossible to make it a goal to win the lottery. Why? Because gambling is a game of chance and your actions have no real impact on whether or not that particular goal is achieved. The best type of goal setting is that which is done with a certain degree of practicality.
A plan of action is the first important step toward goal setting. For instance, an individual who wishes to attend college and needs to save money can work out a budget to earn cash while attending school part time. By enrolling part time, the tuition will be less expensive and even though the degree completion process may take longer, the ultimate goal will be reached in time. This is a good example of positive goal setting.
