Advantages of Being Confident
Almost all successes and attainments in life come from your ability to feel certain that you can accomplish what you set out to achieve. Confidence is the gateway to success; to the life that you wish to lead and to the dreams that you desire to live.
With confidence you can boldly progress towards your ambitions and aspirations. With confidence you can rise up and handle life’s demands and challenges. You can tackle any hurdle and obstruction, and move on to the next step of your journey to fulfilment and achievement.
One of the principle requirements to anything you want to do in your life is confidence. Confidence is an indispensable part of your development, betterment, progress and success, both at a personal and professional level. With confidence you can forge ahead to fulfil your potential and perform at your peak level.
Having confidence is the crux that allows you to achieve your true potential in whatever situation; in your relationships, your work or career, your finances and your self-image.
When you experience a lack of confidence, it may stop you from striving for what you want. This feeling of lack of confidence can be the root of many complications and hardships that block you from achieving your desires. It can be like a large thorn that continually bursts the bubble of desire.
There may have been times when you have felt a level of confidence when you were engaged in an activity that you were good at; such as driving a car, being a parent or managing your team. At those times you would have displayed a high level of certainty, which is a form of confidence.
However, there may have been other circumstances where you found that you felt less confident. On these occasions, you would achieve a fraction of what is truly possible for you. With determination and focus to pursue and gain confidence, you can develop the strength and fortitude to climb out of the depths of any circumstances, and take advantage of the opportunities and successes that lay ahead of you.
In the same way that you have learned to lack confidence, you can also learn to have unlimited confidence. And the simplest and quickest way to kick-start the engines of your brain, is to know and accept that confidence can be an acquired process; it can be learned and formatted to suit all moments.
As your confidence increases, you can take a front row seat in mastering many areas of your life. You will find that you become more and more comfortable and confident in multiple areas, including:
• Moving ahead in your career
• Starting your own business
• Embracing the risks of every day life
• Refusing to be held back by fear
• Creating circumstances rather than waiting for them
• Smiling more and enjoying life
• Dramatically improving your health
Successful and dynamic people have gained mastery on how to feel courageous and confident. When you develop and build on your own confidence skills, you, too, will feel and become a different person. You will feel much more enthusiastic, motivated and determined in every aspect of your life.
Once you improve on the way you think and feel about yourself, your beliefs and your actions will follow. You will confidently overcome the challenges that life thrusts upon you and you will manage them with new-found belief and faith in your capability to do so.
As you become more confident you abandon worry, hesitation and, more importantly, you side-step fear. The focus here is on your whole being, every part of you; your thoughts, the images in your mind, your emotions, and ultimately your behaviour and the actual outcomes in your life.
Bear in mind that as you focus on change, change does begin to happen. It is fun, motivating and very rewarding to feel and see yourself growing and improving and becoming more confident and effective day-by-day and week-by-week.
There is great power in believing that you can succeed in your quest for greater confidence. With awareness and consistency, this is attainable. Your confidence can stretch beyond any measurable scale and further still, knowing no boundaries.
Just think what you can do with all the confidence that you can have!

Staying motivated will help ensure your success in life; it will help ensure that you accomplish your goal of improving yourself.
It is important to remember that all work and no play is not the way to live one's life.
Balance is the key to anything.

The imbalance can cause one to feel pressure and stressed, feeling as though giving up would help more than persevering.
This is why finding ways to avoid this and stay motivated is imperative.
Give yourself rewards.
Take the time to reward yourself for your hard work and achievements.
If no one else is there to do it for you, be your best fan, your biggest supporter and your best friend.
Reward yourself with things that will refresh your spirits and keep your positive energy high.
More helpful techniques.
In addition to a reward system there are many other techniques that can help you in your efforts to stay motivated.

Improving Your Self Confidence
When you project self confidence you get further ahead. You feel better about yourself and people like to be around you. More opportunities open up for you naturally. Not everyone is “born” with self confidence but even if your confidence is low, there are some things you can do to improve on it.
The first thing you must do to gain self confidence is to accept and love yourself. Remember that no one is perfect so don’t beat yourself up over a few flaws. You must accept them and think about all your great qualities. Doing so will free your mind of a heavy baggage of unnecessary worries and you will instantly feel light and cheerful.
Another thing you must do is to participate in activities that you enjoy. When is that last time you enjoyed a walk outdoors or some activity you loved to do when you were young? This might seem like a little thing but these simple things have the power to add on to build great confidence and fulfillment. Take some time each day to do something you enjoy and reflect on your special abilities. Since you enjoy doing that activity, it means that you have all the aptitude and intelligence necessary to do the job effortlessly even though you may not realize it.
Setting and achieving your goals is another step in gaining self confidence but many people set unrealistic goals and when they fail to achieve them it undermines their self confidence. Even if you have a lofty goal, break it down into smaller steps. Then you can check off each completed step as a goal successfully reached and be that much closer to your ultimate “big” goal.
The people you associate with play an important role in your self confidence. If your loved ones are always criticizing you then this will do nothing for your self confidence. You need to stay away from people like this and gravitate towards those with a positive outlook that will support you. This will do wonders for your self confidence!
In addition to listening to what others have to say about you, you need to be aware of your own self talk. Do you think “I could never do that?” or “I didn’t do a good job” a lot? You must change this type of self talk to be more positive. How about ‘I did my best and it came out pretty good” instead? You need to realize that you are a unique individual with your own special place in the world and realize you can succeed at any reasonable task and can handle lifes daily tests. The key is to not become so over confident that you stop listening to others and think that you know everything. Taking in others perceptions, criticisms and praise and filtering it so that you only take in what will help make you better will help in your self confidence in the long run.
Your self picture is what feeds your self confidence and this needs constant monitoring and care. Don’t underestimate yourself and guard against letting feelings of inferiority in. Always shoot for your best and most reasonable goals and keep your strong points in mind.
A good practice is to write down some short term and long term plans. Where would you like to be 5 years from now? Break that down into smaller steps and go about executing your plan. Also write down all your strong points - what you do well and the things you usually receive compliments on. At the same time, write down a few things you would like to work on improving. Have a self image of yourself as confident and proceed to act this way even when you are not feeling confident, this will go a long way in adjusting your attitude. When negative feelings or feelings of inferiority creep in, simply push them away. If they insist on coming back, set them aside to think about at the end of the day and go on with your business using your confident attitude.
Taking responsibility for your thoughts and actions and practicing self confidence will go a long way toward improving your self confidence helping you reach your goals and enriching your life!

The Language Of Confidence
By: Jason E Johns
The language we use programs our brains. Mastering our language gives us a great degree of mastery over our lives and our destinies. It is important to use language in the best way possible in order to dramatically improve your quality of life.
Even the smallest of words can have the deepest effect on our sub-conscious mind. It is like a child, it doesn’t really understand the difference between what really happens and what you imagine. It is eager to please and willing to carry out any commands that you give it – whether you do this knowingly or not is entirely up to you.
“Try”
It is a small word yet it has an amazing impact upon us. If someone says, “I’ll try to do that” you know that they are not going to be putting their whole heart in to it, and may not even do it at all. How often do you use the word try when talking about the things that matter to you? Do you say “I’ll try to be more confident” or “I’ll try to do that” or “I’ll try to call”?
Think about something that you would like to achieve, and say it to yourself in two different ways. Firstly say, “I’ll try to …” and notice how you feel. Next say “I will do …” and see how you feel.
The latter made you feel better than the first one didn’t it? It gives you a sense of determination; a feeling that it will be done. Listen to the people around you and when they say they will try notice if it gets done or not. Eliminate the word try from your dictionary and see how your life improves.
“Can’t”
This is another small word with big impact. It dis-empowers us, makes us feel week and helpless, and damages our self-esteem. It limits our infinite abilities and stifles creativity. Rub it out from your internal dictionary and replace it with something that makes you feel great.
Instead of saying you can’t, why not say something like “I choose …” or “I choose not to …”. Using words like this allows you to take back your power and to be in control of your life.
Words may appear small and insignificant, yet they can have a deep and lasting effect on us. Mastering your language gives you the power to live whatever life you desire.
What words do you use a lot that dis-empower you? Make a list of words you commonly use and then write next to them some alternatives you can use. Make these alternatives words that make you feel fabulous, not only about yourself, but about life and what you are doing!

Changing Negative to Positive Thoughts
Positive thoughts equal positive results. It's been proven time and again throughout the ages by some of the most successful people we have come to know. From as far back as time records people have used positive thinking to change the course of their lives, to change the circumstances of their position and improve themselves in any and all areas.
The act of changing the way you think sounds so simple, so easy to implement that once you get into the habit and realize what power positive thinking holds, you'll wonder why you hadn't taken on the practice earlier in your life. Perhaps the most common reason people do not take on the task of thinking in a positive way is that it takes an action on their part, and sometimes the action needs to be a massive action.
If a person goes through the entirety of their life in a negative state of mind, it becomes ingrained into their soul and becomes who they are. Thus, taking the action to revert that thinking into positive thinking becomes an action that at times can seem futile. A person this deep in negative thinking actually turns the prospect of positive thought into a negative, it becomes a burden to them and they stay in the rut.
One of the easiest ways to combat the negative thoughts that sometimes attempt encroachments in your mind is to recognize that it's a thought that you don't want there and immediately replace it with a positive thought of the same nature. Do this whether that negative thought is a real thing currently in your life, whether it's something that could happen or if it's something that has happened.
If that negative beast is something that is currently going on in your life, the positive thought you replace it with should be a thought of how you'd prefer that specific situation to be. Perhaps a thought comes in your mind about how far behind you are on a specific bill, picture in your mind the bill and the amount it is. Now change it. Instead of showing a large balance owed, change the picture in your mind to show a zero balance.
Now picture yourself holding that zeroed out bill in your hand, look at that smile on your face and the feeling of elation in your soul. Keep that visualization in your mind for a while, keep there for as long as you possibly can and revel in the positive feelings it's generating in you right now.
Don't you feel better now? Aren't you more ready to take on whatever task you were in the middle of when that nasty tried coming into your thoughts? It works and after time it will become a mere habit to change all of your thoughts into positive thoughts. You can feel all those great feelings all of the time and with this positive frame of mind you will be able to accomplish anything.
